MIDDLE SCHOOL CLASS TRIP (end of 8TH GRADE) POINT RULES
To participate in the class trip at the end of the eighth grade school year, each student must earn a total of 50 points (see below for exceptions.)* Students earn points by participating in fund-raising events. Examples of point allotments are listed below.
Work at fund raising event 1 point per ½ hour
Sale of fund-raising items 1 point for each $10 of sales
Baked goods donation 5 points per donation
Attendance at middle school dances 1 point
Other Points will be determined
Any student not earning the full 50 points may pay for any points they need at a rate of $3.00 for each point needed. Students may purchase their remaining points to be eligible for the class trip.
Students are responsible for claiming their class trip points and are required to fill out a claim form each time their earn points. Class advisors will not keep track of student activities and points. Claim your points by filling out a point form and putting it in the box on the front counter in the office.
*This point system was first implemented in the 2010-2011 school year. To phase this point system into the middle school, the point requirements have been prorated to apply to current middle school students.
